The Signs

While subtle, the signs of human trafficking become more clear if you know what to look for. Victims often live with intense fear, suffer from isolation, and have a variety of mental health struggles. It's important to report suspicious behavior/activity to HT Hotline or 1-866-347-2423 (DHS)

  • Physical abuse such as burn marks, bruises or cuts
  • Unexplained absences from class
  • Brags about making or having lots of money
  • Withdrawn, depressed, distracted or checked out
